Exclusive Resorts: You have many different options of places to stay in Jamaica. The most popular and most affordable are the all inclusive resorts spread out between Negril and Port Antonio on the Northern part of the Island. The two largest resort operators are Beaches and Superclubs which offer lodging, food, beverages (including alcohol), entertainment and activities as part of the basic package. This means you pay one price (includes Air Fare) and get all the food and drink you can possiblly consume 24 hours a day, all the beach fun you would expect in Ocean City, Rehobeth Beach or Virginia Beach and the extra luxuries and sports you would expect from a vacation in Florida, including snorkeling, scuba diving and wind surfing.

Each Exclusive Resort offers a different feel, depending on where you stay. Some are family oriented, some are single oriented (like Hedonism) and some are for couples only. Some clubs are also more sport or more social active, but the one best for Romance is the Superclubs Grand Lido Sans Souci in Ocho Rios.

Arriving in Jamaica: When you fly into Jamaica from BWI, you land at Sangster Airport in Montego Bay. After going through baggage claim and Customs, you are met by an Air Jamaica Representative who will tell you where to go from there. Since the Grand Lido Sans Souci is part of the Superclubs, you check into the customer service desk and they will arrange your luggage for the correct shuttle to the hotel. Be prepared to tip the Skycap who takes your luggage to the vehicle, somewhere between $3 - $10, depending how many suitcases you bring. Once on the shuttle to Ocho Rios, sit back and enjoy the scenery on the hour and 45 minute ride across Jamaica.

On the way to the Resort, you will make a stop about 1/3 the way there to freshen up and buy a drink or souvenirs. The drive goes by quickly as you pass blue oceans, green mountains and a few little cities. Once in Ocho Rios, you are less than 10 minutes away from checking in.

Ocho Rios is a major Port of Call for cruise ships because of its famous market places, Dunn River Waterfalls and Dolphin Cove. The Grand Lido Sans Souci is less than 10 minutes away from all of these great tourist attractions if you want to take an off resort excursion for a nominal fee. Nevertheless, staying here puts you in the heart of where others come to visit, which means you can spend more time at the sites or on the beach, since you will be staying so close.

The Grand Lido Sans Souci has over 280 rooms, but you will never feel like you're in the middle of Ocean City in the summer time, because the resort spans over several acres. With 4 pools (one is a mineral pool), 3 Jacuzzis and two beach fronts (one is clothing optional), there is plenty of room to spread out and either be alone or meet others.

The check-in process is very easy and soon you will be escorted to your room. If you take the first flight out of BWI, you will be in your room before 3:00 and ready to venture out and explore the resort. They do have an orientation at 4:00 everyday, for those of you who want a guided tour. Otherwise, head for the beach and the beach grill to grab a frozen favorite and some food, you will be hungry by then!
